In-person Worship

Dear Church Family and Friends:

We are open for in-person worship services every Saturday morning beginning at 11 a.m. Our church board designated a reopening committee that has worked diligently to assess and evaluate local, state and federal guidelines and has put together a reopening plan based on their interpretation of current best practices.

The blessing and privilege we have of being able to worship in-person as members of the body of Christ during this pandemic comes with responsibility no different than that bestowed upon us during any other period in time, as outlined in Philippians 2:1-4:

“Therefore if you have any encouragement from being united with Christ, if any comfort from his love, if any common sharing in the Spirit, if any tenderness and compassion, then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and of one mind. Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of others.”

As we undertake the reopening of our church with the focus of love and care for one another, we ask that you review and abide by the guidelines set forth below. Together, we are confident that we can move forward with in-person worship with a focus on Christ through service to others.

Masks & Social Distancing: For the protection of all, we will require all people entering the church building (ages 2+) to wear a mask and practice social distancing which means maintain a six-foot distance from one another and avoiding touching. For those unable to wear a mask, at high-risk of infection, work and/or live with vulnerable populations, or are feeling ill or may have been exposed to the COVID-19 virus, we will continue to stream our services online and will be happy to have an elder or church leader conduct a visitation.

Seating: To comply with social distancing guidelines, we will be sitting in alternate pews, beginning at the front of the church. We ask that family units sit 6 feet away from the next family unit. Family units are considered people who live together in the same household. Deacons will usher you to your seat upon entering the church.

Entering/Existing: A greeter will greet you at the glass door entrance and give you the option to sign-up for contact tracing. Please wait in the lobby for a deacon or usher to seat you in the sanctuary. After the service is over, our deacons will dismiss you by sections and rows. Please enter and exit at the designated areas. Common areas where socialization takes place (such as the church lobby) will remain closed. Hand sanitizer will be made available at the entrance to the church.

Water: Please bring your own water bottle since most high-contact areas such as the water fountain will be closed. If you forget your water bottle and are in need of water, please see a deacon for assistance.

Restrooms: Restrooms will remain open. We ask that you wash your hands with soap and water and use hand sanitizer upon exiting the restroom.

Mothers’ Room: The Mothers’ Room and certain Sabbath School classrooms will be made available for parents on an as-needed basis. Please see the deacon on duty if you need access to these rooms.

Offering Boxes: The offering box will remain next to the A/V booth. Offering boxes will also be available at the exits.

Bring your Bible: To limit the touching of items, Bibles, hymnals, prayer cards, pencils, etc. have been removed from the pews.

After the service: What a joyous day it is to be able to come together for worship and fellowship again! So that we may continue to be able to worship together in-person, please continue to observe social distancing and mask wearing when fellowshipping with one another after exiting the church.
